Meet our inspirational Ocean Ambassadors, who are as passionate about the Ocean as we are.
At the Ocean Conservation Trust, it is our mission to connect as many people with the Ocean as we can. We deliver this via our conservation education and engagement programmes, contributing towards promoting pro-Ocean behaviour – and securing a healthy future for our Ocean, for the benefit and enjoyment of all.
Our Ocean Ambassadors fly the OCT flag on our behalf, acting as a floating element of our highly skilled Conservation Education team and helping us to spread our Ocean Optimistic message far and wide – encouraging people to Think Ocean. The Ocean has never needed our help more, but the great news is that if we all work together, we can help to secure a healthier future for our Ocean.

Sir Ben & Lady Ainslie
We are delighted to have inspirational couple, Sir Ben and Lady Ainslie on board as ‘Ocean Ambassadors’ for the Ocean Conservation Trust.
The most successful Olympic sailor of all time, Ben has won medals at five consecutive Olympics. He is now Team Principal and Skipper of INEOS TEAM UK, the British Challenger for the 36th America’s Cup in 2021. Ben’s wife, Georgie, is a successful TV and radio presenter with a passion for both the Ocean and education.
As Ocean Ambassadors, Ben and Georgie will work with us to connect young people and their families with our Ocean and promote pro-Ocean behaviour. Through their personal experience and connection with the sea, and with the expert support from our team here at the Ocean Conservation Trust, Ben and Georgie are well equipped to inspire the nation to think about their actions for the greater good of the Ocean.
The latest Ocean Ambassador to join our ranks, Henry is a renowned and talented British sailor who journeyed single-handedly around the world by boat at the age of just 18. Since then, he has achieved a number of notable offshore sailing feats, including his exciting race aboard the Turn the Tide on Plastic sailing yacht in the Volvo Ocean Race 2018.
With a passion for the Ocean and a proven track record in doing his bit to raise awareness of the issues it faces, Henry is ideally placed to fly the Ocean Conservation Trust flag, encouraging others to do their bit to look after it.
